Are there other options for renting if I am not able to rent online?

You may call the number listed for each of our respective locations or visit the 24-hour self service kiosk available for our Jasper, and Corydon facilities only.

Note: If you wish to rent a unit at our Ferdinand, Huntingburg, Washington and Dale storage facilities, you must do so between our regular office hours.

Do any of your storage facilities have electricity?

Yes! Our Jasper – Ireland facility has storage units with electrical outlets for trickle charging available for an additional monthly fee. Each unit has an LED light operated by a motion sensor for your convenience.

Do you insure my belongings?

No, Access Storage does not carry any insurance for your personal property. We highly recommend you consider insuring your belongings and contact your insurance agent to discuss your options. Select locations offer a Storage Protection Plan, which can be purchased during the rental process at the self-service kiosks. Please call to speak with a member of our team if you have questions.

Do you offer boat storage, RV storage, and vehicle parking?

Yes! Many of our storage facilities offer both indoor storage and outdoor parking for boats, RVs, trailers, cars, and trucks. These facilities include:

Do you pro-rate?

No, we do not. Units are rented on a month-to-month basis.

Do you provide locks?

You will receive a disc lock included with your storage unit rental at all of our storage facilities. Surface parking is excluded.

Do you sell packing & moving supplies?

No, we do not sell packing and moving supplies.

How do I make a payment?

Payments can be made in the followings ways: phone, by mail, in our office during regular office hours, at our office drop box (located at 2125 Main St., Ferdinand) after hours, online, auto-pay, or by visiting the 24-hour self service kiosk available for our Jasper and Corydon facilities only. Please refer to your rental agreement for additional options.

How do I notify you of my phone or address change?

To notify us of a phone number or physical address change, you may:

  • Log in to your account and update any changes online
  • Call Access Storage Now and request to update your information. Our offices will then send you paperwork to sign and return.

How do I rent online?

If you would like to rent online, simply visit our locations page to find the nearest Access Storage Now. Once on a nearby location, select the unit size you want and proceed through the checkout process!

How do I use the gate code?

Access Storage Now will sometimes require you to use a gate code to access our facilities. If you forget your code, either use the nearby kiosk or login using your online account to retrieve it!

What are your hours of operation?

Our office hours are from 7:30 – 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday – Friday. All rentals may be completed online or at a kiosk (Jasper and Corydon and) or by calling a customer support. Our Jasper and Corydon locations have extended customer support hours seven days per week. Once you have rented a unit, you will have access to it 24/7.

What are your rates?

Our rates vary by size and type of storage needed. Please refer to our locations and call the appropriate number listed to speak to one of our rental specialists who will help you determine the size and type of space that is most suitable for your needs and budget. You may also email us. For rentals in Jasper and Corydon, a 24-hour self-service kiosk is available to meet your rental needs at all times. You may also complete a rental online.

What are your storage unit access hours?

Our storage facilities offer the convenience of 24/7 storage unit access. Visit your storage unit anytime, day or night. This is a great perk for businesses, contractors and construction workers that require around-the-clock need access to their equipment, inventory and tools.

What do I need to do when moving out?

Please notify us at least five (5) days before the end of the term or renewal date. Before vacating the unit, you must remove all items and sweep clean the premises. Failure to do so will result in an extra charge for cleaning the premises. Please refer to your rental agreement for additional details.

What information do I need to set up an on-line account?

You will need your primary phone number on the account and your unit number as listed on your rental agreement (ex: ASN001).

What is a roll-up door?

Roll-up doors are very similar to garage doors and are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward. Roll-up doors are the most common door in the self storage industry and are bigger than most doors allowing renters to maximize the space of their unit.

What is a temperature controlled storage unit?

Temperature controlled storage units are cooled during the summer and heated during the winter to protect your stored belongings from the extreme temperatures. We offer temperature controlled storage at the following Access Storage Now facilities:

What is the minimal rental commitment?

We have a standard one-month rental commitment. Discounts may be offered for a long-term rental. Check out our coupons for additional details.

What type of information is needed to rent a storage unit?

We will need your mailing address, email address (if applicable), home phone number, cell phone number (if applicable), date of birth, social security number, driver’s license, and first month’s payment. We require a fully executed rental agreement between you and our company representative.

Who can access my storage unit?

You are the only one with access to your self-storage unit. The lock and keys provided upon rental are new. Refer to “Do you provide locks?” in this FAQ section.

Why am I not able to make an online payment?

If your account is past due, online payments are not accepted. Please contact us to make your payment.

Will I receive a monthly statement in the mail?

No, we do not provide paper bills. If you prefer, you may provide us with your email address and we will send you an electronic statement each month upon request.

Self Storage Tips

DO…

  • Stack heavier items on bottom and create aisle ways to give you access to items stored in the back of the storage unit.
  • Keep items that might draw moisture (wood/upholstery) up off the floor or provide a moisture barrier between the floor and your items.
  • Store items you will need most often near the front of the storage unit.
  • Understand and abide by all provisions of the storage lease agreement.
  • Check out our storage unit specials before renting to get the best rate.
  • Wipe all metal surfaces with a rag containing a few drops of machine oil to alleviate rust.
  • Label all boxes on all sides. This will save you time in the long run.
  • Avoid stacking things directly against the wall to leave room for some air flow.
  • Use trash cans to store shovels, hoes and rakes.
  • Drain gasoline and oil from lawn mowers and other items with engines.
  • Be sure not to over pack boxes so they do not get too heavy and dangerous.
  • Clean out appliances before storing and leave doors open on microwaves and refrigerators slightly open to prevent mildew.
  • Completely clean & sweep your unit upon moving out.

DON’T…

  • Store any sort of food item in a unit as it will attract rodents.
  • Use the unit to store firearms, illicit drugs or drug paraphernalia, live animals, liquids, explosives, flammable liquids and fuels, toxic materials, or other items that need a controlled environment. (It’s also against the law!).
  • Ever hesitate to call us with any questions or concerns about what you cannot store in the unit.
  • Leave your unit unlocked when it’s unattended.
  • Assume we know you have moved out until you have called our office and spoke to one of our customer service team members.
