Access Storage does not insure your belongings in your storage unit and is not responsible for loss or damage to your property and strongly recommends that you as the renter provide protection against loss for your property. If you are unsure whether or not your homeowners or renter’s policy covers your stored items, we recommend contacting your insurance agent.
As a renter, you are responsible for pest control in your storage units. Access Storage does provide pest control in the common areas of the facility. DO NOT STORE FOOD. Food attracts pests. Any and all food items are NOT ALLOWED to be stored in the unit including packaged, sealed military kits, etc.
Mold is a type of fungus that thrives on moisture and reproduces by a means of tiny, lightweight spores. It can be found on walls, floors, appliances, furniture, carpet, and other items that provide the “food” mold needs to grow. Please understand that standard home owners insurance and Tenant Property Protection Plans DO NOT cover the cost of all damages from mold and mildew that happen in your storage unit.
